I’m excited to participate in the Glastonbury Collective’s Plant Swap & Pottery Sale! 8 artists will have work available. for purchase. I will have a variety of mugs and a few small planters available for sale.

Graphic Forms - Composing Personal Narratives

Workshops meet May 19th + May 26th
11am-5pm for each session.

In this 2-day workshop students will learn how to hand build a platter or vessel form of their choice. Several techniques such as slab and coil-building will be introduced and the instructor will demonstrate how they can work together to complete a single ceramic piece. Students will also work with the instructor on a personal narrative, bringing drawings and light research to create compositions that will be utilized on the surface of the constructed forms through a technique called sgraffito.

The theme “Flash Your Lights” is a call for solidarity inspired by 1970s Detroit radio DJ, Electrifying Mojo. The 15th cohort of fellows and Gilda Award recipients submitted new and re-imagined pieces examining how sound surfaces in their practice.
